So..the verdict on Saggy Right Exhast is...?

Hey everyone:

Has anyone had their saggy right exhaust pipe looked at when at the dealer? Can they do anything about it? Mine is about 1.5 in. lower than the left and looks really unprofessional. Does Acura have a fix yet?

Park Avenue says it is a 5 minute fix. I don't know what they do but they all hang low on the right side.

My dealer gave me 20 reasons why they couldn't fix it (Acura of Portland, Or). I asked him if they had a torch outfit. Steel tube responds well to heat when applied to the right place. Anyway, he sent me away in a 1st gen CL and the next day it was fixed. I didn't ask how they did it. Evidently the threat of heat can tweak steel pipe. Wish you well.

I had and still have this problem. I have had a new "exhaust" put on and it still didn't help. They say they measured it and it is just an optical illusion on my car. I will measure this week and if it is not even, I will go raise hell. It will be the third time I am going to the dealer for this. If they don't fix it right this time, they've got one unhappy customer that will raise hell until he gets what he wants.

If the dealer won't/can't fix it, just get a hose clamp (about a 3 1/2" diameter one), put it over the rubber hanger on the sagging side and tighten it to pull the muffler up a bit. Worked fine on mine.
