So I went from a CLS-6 to a TL-P...
Until I buy my next ride, I'm driving my parents' 03 TL-P around.
I never realized how much of a difference there really is between the TL-P and a CL-S.
Most notably:
1. The seats are way less supportive, and the driving position is much higher.
2. The suspension is much softer.
3. The sound system, which I envied for the subwoofer, actually doesn't sound as good*.
4. There are only 2 foot pedals!!!
* More on #3: though the bass is a little deeper, the lack of satellite tweeters is really noticeable. The high range notes sounded much better in the CL than they do in the TL; much clearer, much less distorsion.
Just thought I'd share...

Crap? Haha. I test drove all TL and CL models before buying my 2002 TL-P. While performance and suspension tuning is somewhat more aggressive, none of my testers seemed to be all that different. I would have taken any of the ones, but ended up with the TL-P for its practicality (had an Accord V6 coupe already). I like all the 2G TL/CLs and none of them are crap. The only weak point in these cars are their 5AT transmissions.

Never said they are crap! (Well, except for the trannies).
However, test driving TL's & CL's is one thing... but owning one for a long period of time, and then driving the other brings out the subtle differences much more.
When I first looked and test drove CL's, they didn't feel all that different than the TL i'm driving now except for the fact that they were manual (and faster).

Mind you, since it is my folks car and not mine, and I depend on it for my daily commute to work and back home, I am very respectful towards it and drive it like a grandma.
I am scared sh!tless of the transmission breaking while under my operation. I've tried telling my dad the trannies have a 5% defect rate but he seems to feel immune to the probelm. I just don't want anything to happen in the one/two months I'll be operating his car.
So needless to say, it's never seen a rev over 3K since I started daily driving it! Perhaps that way, I minimize the strain put on the tranny as well as the risk of it breaking in the next months!

I thought that 5% of the auto trannies will fail - am I mistaken?
