I notice we have a few BMW and Lexus people that spend a lot of time on this forum. Is it that they like what we talk about or are they just really bored?

Don't forget 1 SAAB owner. I come here for a few reasons:
1-Yes, I am bored.
2-Pretty good topics, interesting people. (I could do without the bickering, but what's life without a good argument, right?)
3-Eclipse23 asked me to.
I also post on SAABNET.com for the obvious reasons.

1-Safety: with the ignition mounted on the floor, the instances of injuries caused by keys being jammed into one's knee during a head-on collision, are removed. (Actual insurance data shows this happening. SAAB's get better safety ratings because of this.)
2-Convenience: in one motion, I sit, strap myself in, and start the car!
3-Theft deterrant: #1, it confuses would-be thieves. They can't hot wire the car if they can't find the ignition switches and #2, underneath the ignition mounting is a solid steel plate. Almost impossible to remove. (A profressional, of course, can bypass anything.)
4-Everytime some one gets in my car for the first time they exclaim "Hey, that's cool! I've never seen that before."

The reason we have BMW/Lexus people here is because they cannot believe that Acura was able to come up with a car like the CLS for the price they did. Paying $10K to $20K more is not fun. Now, some of these guys may have gotten their cars before the CLS was availble and are interested in jumping into one but wonna see what owners have to say.
I love companies like Acura. VALUE is what matters most in any purschas these days and Acura's #1 objective was to bring VALUE to luxury car owners. No more "I got to pay at least $40K to get into a luxury sedan/coupe". Companies like Acura benfit the consumer in the long run more than we realize. Great job guys.

I also think that a lot of the BMW, Lexus, etc. people are true car enthusiasts that enjoy talking about cars in general. Of course there are the few asses who just like to start stuff, but most of the guys here are just car guys. I also think we have a really good group of people, so it makes others want to come here and hang.....

BTW, typing out every automotive article one comes across does not make one intelligent or even knowledgeable. It just tells people that one has a lot of time to spend cribbing the thoughts of others.
(No offense to any other CL'ers. Most of you should know I don't start sh!t. At this point I'm here and in a few other car forums for that rarity-of-rarities: the interesting general automotive discussion between informed and/or semi-informed enthusiasts.)

Hey DTW what car/s do you drive?
Saabmanforever oviously you can tell from his screename that he is already biased. Saab for ever. You should be offended more than anyone else because you know that Saab cannot make a car with the credentials of a CLS for the price of a CLS. No auto company can as of right now and that was my point.
As for the articles. I never said I write that stuff. I am posting them here because they might be interesting to some people because I belileve that learning about the industry will help you understand your car better. Like seeing Nissan putting that new engine in the I35 makes me think if I have brains and come up with some scenarios with where Acura might be going with the CLS and TLS in the near future. That is just a simple example.
Plagurism someone said. You make me laugh. What is this, a college test? I am presenting my thesis to the board members to be graded or something. I make it easier for everyone and instead of posting a URL link, I paste the photos and text. I thought I was doing people a favor. It is easier for me to post just a URL link.
If you were smart enought though you would have seen that I am not trying to hide the content at all. There is a very easy way to figure out where my post comes from by finding out the source of the picture. So dont tell me I am trying to hide it.
And what if I dont put the source there? What would the value to you be? The value as it is, if any, is for a member to read the subject and if interest click and read the article. If you dont like it, dont read it. If I am instructed by moderators here to stop that, I dont see another reason why I should stop. From some of the replies though from members I see that there is sufficient interest for posts like the ones I post.
By the way, what does all that have to do with my initial point which obviously you did not like cos you know that CLS owners have done the right thing and simply you sont feel right for paying more for not really more car? It hurts a little does it not? I wonder who is with the issues.

Well, I don't bother speculating on why you're under the delusion that everybody who doesn't have a CL must want one bad.
I don't bother speculating on why you seem to be obsessed with cribbing from people obviously more intelligent than you w/o ever making any attempt at dispelling the erroneous general impression that you actually know something w/o your magazines and websites.
I also don't bother speculating on why you stoop as low as to resort to pseudo-technical/us-vs-them arguments in your attempts to discredit other car-savvy contributors that might reveal how little you actually know about anything.
And I haven't been pretending to read your mind and tell others why you do the things you do.
I don't think I'm the one with the issues.

Isn't the "the unmentionable" a big enough clue?
Well, here's another one that doesn't require admittedly arcane knowledge of dealer codes. Initially, I came to this forum to "investigate" the cause of the old flame wars.

It's good that you're finally taking the high road. Had you just done that in your first post in this thread, none of this unpleasantness would have been called for. The lesson is that anybody can play at the attack-by-implication, dirty argumentation game.
Isn't the "the unmentionable" a big enough clue?
Well, here's another one that doesn't require admittedly arcane knowledge of dealer codes. Initially, I came to this forum to "investigate" the cause of the old flame wars.

And gavriil, I don't particularly care about staying on subject with you. You started this off with an attack-by-generalization. Nobody needs to play by your rules if you show no regard for the rules of ethical argumentation.
Let's give one more try at keeping this discussion alive. I'm more interested in taking the high road, but I'm getting bored with your yet-to-be-justified demands.
