So how many of you would.....

So how many of you would change to a different hood to get Syncivic's RES prototype put in your car? Carbon fiber? Imagine more hp w/less weight. NICE. Has anyone seen a carbon fiber hood that has been painted, how does it look? I have only seen it unpainted. Syncivic said acp would offer hoods, but i bet they'll be fiberglass, still some weight reduction is better than none.

Count me out... Save maybe ten pounds and gain 15hp? Not worth it.

It might be more than 15hp, remember Syncivic said that he lost some of the gains trying to make it fit under the hood(the production model)

I don't know who would make it. But i'm pretty sure that it would cut the weight by at least 50 lbs probably more. A carbon fiber hood only weighs like 15 lbs, whereas the stocker I doubt you can lift by yourself.

It's not really a matter of money. I happen to think the standard CL hood is already way too damn high. If the RES makes a Bulge on the new hood, then it would make it a lot worse for my visibility... This one is a tough choice and I'd literally have to see what it would look like before I commit.

Quote from Syncivic: "You guys need to work on your comprehension skills....the hood reply was for those who try to weld a box and bolt it on the manifold...they will need a hood if they aren't carefull. The RES does NOT hit the hood"

And a quick-and-dirty capture:

Ok... Still count me out. I can't afford anything like that, and I can't afford higher insurance premiums...

Hey genius!!!

The RES fits under the hood really... no sh*t . That is why I think I clearly stated difference between a prototype model and a production mod, maybe it is you that needs to work on your comprehension skills. Syncivic said some gains had to be lost to make the RES fit under the hood. "GEE." Wouldn't that mean that there is a more powerful version that doesn't clear the hood. Hmmm could that be called a prototype.

$300 for what we've all see in the dyno charts?! And why would your insurance company need to know anything about a small, unobtrusive mod like this?

Count me in!

Wow, what a weak attempt at sarcasm. You didn't clearly state anything, nor is it apparant that you know your ass from a hole in the ground.
