So-Cal people
Especially PimpinWhiteCL, OoowindooO, Brian, anyone else. We should throw together a So-Cal meet sometime in August. I plan to cruise out to Irvine for a little vacation around that time, maybe we can coordinate a little meet so I can check out some of your rides.

Are there any good shows going on in August? Maybe we can talk Astroboy into coming down...I know he's looking for an excuse to bring his TL out to the West Coast.

Irvine is good....I got a couple friends at UCI...so i'm up and down from there.
By then, I HOPE to have my Coilovers in and maybe have my "upgraded" system....(addition of a 12" sub)

POSSIBLE LOCATIONS?
I chose destinations that are near all major LA freeways.
PALM SPRINGS (2 hrs from LA and OC) - Its a lil' hot, but its AWESOME at night!!! I used to work out there, plently of clubs and nice spots for our cars to fit in plus there is the I-10 which you call haul some serious ass on. :o) Besides, this was the setting for the first CL commericals, do nothing in less time.
IDLLYWILD (2+ hours from LA and OC) - GREAT MOUTAIN ROAD TO DRIVE!! (good banking and lots of turn out spots) 5k elevation, and lots of straights and flats down the moutain to 'test' out top speed.
AROWHEAD / BIG BEAR (2 hrs from LA and OC) - Another well-traveled road for car buffs, everytime I have gone up the hill there were always loaded M3's and every other kind of sport car that eats moutain roads for breakfast. Great spots and the lakes, including the road that runs the length of the moutains from Big Bear to Running Springs.
I have a ton of other spots too. Lemme know. I have been just about everywhere in SoCal, lots of camping and hiking spots and other out of the way spots.

What is the general consenus on a SoCal meet? Would it be better if if were more centrally located, say somewhere in OC so the SD's and LA's don't have that much of a drive? Its gonna be hotter than the blue blazes inland, so maybe somewhere down on the beach or make the drive up a mountain to beat the heat.
(I am all for the mountian driving, I love it!)
Side note: all of my suggestions, have GREAT places for the ladies and wives to wander off to if hanging around with the cars isn't their bag.
Lets make this happen!! I will help with whatever I can.

How about somewhere in Riverside off 91E...im still about an hour away...but i figure its pretty nice and open...again, it is HOT there as well....
I do have basketball every weekend...so maybe we should set a date convienent for everybody....the best times for me are fri. nights/sat. morn......

I LIVE in Rivershitty, and there are some nice places, but I think it would be really cool to get outta the heat and take the cars on a 'tour' or something to a location.
I like this idea, MEET in Riverside and then DRIVE to somewhere pimp!
We used to do this back in the day, my family had a car collection and were members of car clubs, and seriously, its a blast.
