smoked by a vw beetle convertible
i was driving my 03 stock 6speed cls when the beetle convertible stopped next to me on redlight. the guy was smiling with his girl.
on green light i moved normally when the beetle smashed me up. i got pissed off and on the next light we stopped again. on green i stepped on the gas with all my might but the beetle convertible still smoked me by a car length.

Well, if a regular Bugs Turbo, probally or i am not suprise, but the convertable is REALLY slow, since it has NO turbo, and a dumb as fu*k 6spd auto... slower than Echo... i have no clue how you get waxed... a 18.5-19sec with huge ass mods... i say they run 14.5? you should still be able to take it.... cuz those 2.0 are SLOWWWW.... hmm... i wonder how that feels to get ur butt kicked by a bug! must be a cool feeling! haha, since they pull away in style....

I'm totally stock with 1200 miles on my CL-S 6 sp. I'll take on an VW (except that new V8 coming out soon.. not sure of the numbers). A stock CL-S should kick ass because we have more balls than VW's (including turbo).
andylau - did you get those RPM's above 3K? When racing in a 6sp, get those RPM's up in the 6K area and shift quickly to keep the RPM's up for the next gear. Sound's like you need to practice more. Better luck next time.
