It's a totally different type of car are you kidding? If I wanted to run 10s I would have bought a 1st Gen DSM.
Plus I could have dumped the same into an SRT-4 and be in the 11s.
I'm probably making 50 more whp than him and that's pretty impressive IMO.

yes i am, but if u look at the big picture, how much money has he dumped into the car and the srt hasnt. his title says smoked srt-4 stage one, so im sure its something hes proud of, but in the big picture, all that money put into the car only beat him by not much.
its doesnt matter, what matters is that he has a 13 1/2 second car.

Awesome runs!! I went to the track today and got quite a few runs in...I'll post in a new thread. There were four SRT-4's at the track today. One guy had a laundry list of stuff done to his car and couldn't even break into the 13's. Obviously, he couldn't drive. Nice 60' times. I still can't get less than a 2.2!!!! Ugh!!!!

... oh lord.. now I am going to be installing an intercooler for sure....
Hey Steve something I thought about last night.. you claimed that your tranny cooler is bigger than the others on the market... I hope to hell we can fit the heat exchangers in front of the tranny cooler.

Chemmech has the same cooler and his fit fine. We might has to relocate the cooler though. Mine is located pretty low on the radiator, but I still think there is plenty of room.

I didn't show the 60' times, he had me off the line but I was ahead by about 2-3 lengths by the end. Also I was only seeing 5-5.5 psi, my belt was slipping. I would have pulled more if I wasn't losing boost on the top end.

215/50/17 ContiExtremeContact with 40k miles and about 100 passes at the track on them.
Left from idle and didn't go WOT till at least the 30' mark.
New tires should be ordered next week and i'll be able to launch a little faster. Might have another tenth in it.

I think i'm gonna go with 225/45/17 Pirelli PZero Nero M+S
I'll gain a little in gearing due to the slighly smaller size and I think they will grip better and be quieter than the Conti's

You know, you're right. Thanks for being a true friend and helping me to admit I've got a problem.

Oh man, I read the title and thought SRT-4 actually got smoked...times were near identical.
In any case, good run. I will admit that I'm dissapointed the S/C only puts you in the mid 13s.
I noticed you're in MD, which track did you go to?

Considering his 60' time was better, his car is lighter, he has a manual transmission, and weighs much, much less... also I trapped much higher... he got smoked.
And don't be disappointed. You need to read up on the S/C and what it will do with this car. You do realized that my 13.55 time is the 3rd fastest a CL has ever gone on the track don't you? Only allmotor's turbo setup ran a 12.9 and mattg ran 13.2 on nitrous, but with the same trap speed as me because with nitrous you don't have to spray out of the hole so you can get traction before you bring on the horsepower.
I went to capitol raceway.

Added 70 whp for me. Took off .6 of a second despite an easy launch and yes did add 5 mph. I'm 100% satisfied with my purchase.
