I recently moved to the SF Bay Area from Vancouver, BC, and I am in the process of registering my car.

Can any of the Bay Area members tell me where's the best place to get my car smog certified and how much it should cost, please?

best deal I found was at a local Arco (Wolfe/Homestead in Sunnyvale) for $58 electronically sent.

I called Stevens Creek Acura today and they quoted me $129 plus taxes.

I guess it doesn't really matter where I get it done so long as I get a smog certificate, right?

Depending on where you are, Acu-Tech automotive in SSF is great. it'll probably be 40 bucks cheaper than Stevns Creek, and the head smog tech is also a local autocrosser (so is the owner), they'll take care you and your car.
