Mine came stock with the car... So I don't imagine I have any spacers.

Yeah, they're 4-piston fronts and two piston rears. Blank rotors though... Very good stopping power.

True, but that wasn't my intention. I'm curious to the size of brake you can fit on the CLS... That's kind of where I was going with my Brembo comment.

Regardless, I think those brakes look great. Simtty needs them... He's gotta be able to slow the sled down after a couple of F/I WOT runs...

Yeah, well you need to understand that the cap on the master cylinder is only a half turn to tighten it... So the use of the J-hooks and chain is so you can get a good seal.... I got a good seal, I pressurized the sytem and checked for leaks or a drop in pressure... I was AOKAY, but if you use this system I recommend you PUMP the brake Pedal inbetween bleeding each caliper..

I mentioned that to the Company to put that in their directions and they AGREEDed.... to me that is JUST SAD that a customer has to tell supposively "The brake experts" whats needs to be in their directions so their customers can bleed the system of ALL air.

Scrib they are 13.1 if I am not mistaken..They make a 12 inch rotor for the TL guys with 16 inch wheels..

Smitty: Nice look! It goes without saying that I will powdercoat them for you and for free naturally. You would want high gloss black, correct? But, if you have them done locally (to save downtime, I asume) tell the powder coating jobshop that you want the chemistry to be polyester TGIC (triglyceride isocyanurate.) I get my powder paint free from the manufacturers as samples.

About brake bleeding...why don't you car guys wise up and do it the way us airplane pilots do it? Air bubbles in a fluid want to go UP. When we bleed the brakes on an airplane, the supply hose is attached to the fitting on the caliper (the lowest point in the system, and we force the air bubbles UP into the master cylinder. It couldn't be easier! Just make sure no dirt is present.

There are three ways to do anything: The easy way, the hard way, and the usual way.

An aircraft braking system is a bit different than a car .

Smitty, awesome work. Tight car, tight wheels, tight brakes. Brakes are such an over-looked modification. I have read real good things about the Rotora system as it is a low cost alternative to Brembo, AP racing etc. The funny thing is big brakes help with FADE more than anything, you may not stop any shorter. But with stock, after the 10th stop, u will stop longer but with Big Brakes, you should stop just as short as the 1st stop.

True, but since I have more HP under the hood than the majority of guys on the board plus the well known Braking Problem that ACURA/HONDA has swept under the rug I decided not to take my chances with going to the dealer ever 10K for the rotors to be cut....

I think I am going to take them off this winter and send them to Florida to get gloss Black powdercoated for free.... I am about to seal the deal on a winter beater Intrepid to play with while I work on the CL-S.
