Smells like more tranny trouble!
I was at lunch today and out of no where with no warning my check engine light came on and the VSA light came on along with the exclamation caution like light that comes on when you turn the VSA off. I pulled into a parking lot and the car was idling up and down constantly but stayed below 1000 rpm. It then got so low that it cut off. It started back up and would drive, but when I drove it, it was jerking when it changed gears. Each gear gave a jerking feel. The only mods I've done are an AEM CAI and some Eibach springs. My issue is that I feel like somehow Acura is going to try to blame the problem on the CAI. When I brought it in and they popped the hood the first thing they started commenting on was the CAI. I just had another tranny put in at 50,000 miles and I am now at 56,000 miles. This is a 2001 CL-S.
Can anyone give me an opinion on what I may be dealing with. Thanks.

I had the EXACT same thing happen to me. Same lights came on and everthing. Somehow my cams got off wack and made my pistons hit my valves and bent them. But seriously sounds identical.
