My car fixed itself today! CEL light was on for 4days, ran the codes, Purge valve control emissions shit.. Turned it on this morning... boom, clear dash.... Probably the mrs. forgot to tighten the gas cap again....lol.

 

Yeah, we've had reports about the gas caps before, so hopefully that was it...

 

my lights come on and go off in a few days all the time, and i always close my gascap real good, like 6 clicks, the ecu lights stayed on for 2 months, then itll go off for 1 and come back on, wierd

 

thats def not normal. there probably is some stored codes you might want to pull

 

Agree. Id get the codes read.

 

if you get a CEL code (such as random misfire), if it doesnt continue to misfire, once you complete a drive cycle the CEL will go off.

 

if you're not throwing codes right now, it will be pointless to get the obdii scanned, nothing will show up...
