Hey guys, I dunno if some of you are, but I'm picky! And it's been a month that I hear a rattling noise, not very loud, but it's for sure coming from the back of the car. Maybe the exhaust?! It even makes the car shake just a little. I can feel the shake when i'm inside the car too! Remember, it's a small rattling noise and the shake is not that obvious....

Any ideas?

 

Is it all the time? just over bumpy roads? rpm or speed related? I have a had a number of rattles fixed by the dealer but thre are two that really annoy me. The first is from the driver door... it sounds like a metallc (or glass) rattle. I am sure that it is door lever linkage rattling.

My other rattle is closer to what you describe, but I only noticed it afer I installed CT headers. It is an exhaust rattle I notice it when I come to a stop and the engine is torqued against the transmission. Increasing the RPM slightly, or going into neutral makes it go away. When I had the dealer check this out they found some small stones trapped in the heat shielding. Removing the stones has helped, but I still have the problem.

 

yes, the sound is when I'm stopped and idle. I really want this to go away since the whole car shakes... its not a huge shake, but its annoying
