SLK 32 AMG or Home Theater? What would you...

Someone needs to talk some sense into me.

Just found out that the SLK 32 AMG's have started to arrive. MSRP is the asking price with no markups. But I'm also into home theater stuff. Just got a crt projector, made my own screen, upgraded my processor, and was just about to order some new speakers and other things to finish out my theater.

Should I use that theater money for a down payment on the SLK 32AMG or finish my theater. I just graduated from grad school and am itching to get into further debt (figure I deserve it).

I know I should save money but lifes too short and 80% of my life was "wasted" on school. What would you do?

Sorry for the ramble. I know this isn't a dilema just a guy that is finally getting a paycheck and doesn't know what to do.

I would say close your debt than get the AMG... if you are in debt you can lose the AMG in no time... trust me, bad credit means you screw your financial life for a long long time...

What kinda buisness are you in bro?? What a great decision.

I would get the Benz no question. You will get 10x more fun outa that. When is the last time a girl was turned on by ur dual 30' subs or crt projector.

I would say go with the car...I know how nice it is to have a sweet home theatre, but really...that's something that becomes a solitary love affair...go with the car...

I'm actually on a similar boat you are on. I either want to go three TV's in my car. Back running on a DVD and front GPS and Flip out Kenwood with TOuch Screen. Also changing Disc Changer and speakers. All parts with Install all top of the line stuff close to $8,500. I'm thinking why not just savei tup and put it towards the C 32 AMG I'm going to get a new car right around Christmas 2002 so I might as well get that C 32 then spend 8,500 on Acces for this. I already spent $3K in mods. Time to save for the C 32

Astro,

Seeing your list of cars, I'm not surprised by your answer. But if I was looking at some Martin Logans (too big), like yours, I think I'd go with the Martin Logans. Music just doesn't get sweeter.

Nova,

I know thats the sensible answer. But with my student loans I'd pay off debt forever. I God forbid I should die before I enjoy the material things in life. Your answer is probably the one I'll go with though.

z28,

No business. I wish I was involved in some business, like Astros. I just finished residency so I've spent more than 21 years of my life in school or training. That's why I've got this insatiable urge to spend now that I'm actually getting paid.

thanks for the opinions. Time to go buy a lottery ticket.

Andy

How are you enjoying those Martin Logans? As I recall, you set up a pretty sweet system in no time.
