More Dyno tests from Syncivic Tomorrow

Heading to the chassis Dyno for another round of testing tomorrow (8/29), will have RAdams post the results.

Test is for the previously mentioned "Bolt-On" upgrade.

Cars include:

01 CL-S w/Header, AEM CAI, and a NOS shot (not to be used for comparison baselining of new part)

02 TL-S w/ 3.5L upgrade (GEN I)

These results will give an idea of what power gains are possible on a modded car. Frankly, I don't know what to expect. The TORQUE is where I hope the gain remains, a lower HP gain is expected but we'll see. Expected ambient temps tomorrow are 90-93F and RH of ~85%. Nothing like a hot day at the Dynojet facility.

Wish us luck.

Read my post, we will not be spraying the 3.2 CL for this test session, although we may just to compare the results with a 3.5's. The NOS is supposedly an 80 shot, we'll see.

The idea is to give those of you who have modded (H/E/I) an idea of what my mod can do for you. It also lets those who aspire to go faster know what NOS vs 3.5 (Gen I)looks like on the DYNO.

The 3.5 (Gen I) cars average ~244-252HP at the wheel. The flywheel conversion is ~320HP

They will all be done in a before / after format, multiple pulls to back up the numbers.

Syncivic:

Cool !! btw, is the 244-252 on the 3.5 upgrade with headers and cai too or just 3.5 without headers or intake? Most guyz here show bout +235-240 HP with headers and intake alone...

Perhaps you will let us know how much juice our trannies will take without a cooler (or other mods).

I would love to see someone monitor the tranny temp at max output with a 3.5L and mods -- this would be a good way to know if the additional torque is going to be an issue...

I believe his 3.5 L upgrade includes the CAI and headers too but originally it was only with headers.. I have only seen 1 maybe 2 dynos that show 235+ hp with headers and CAI alone.. those were some nice ones.. but remember even though the gain in hp from the 3.5L is only like 25 hp at the crank the increase in torque and area of the curve are the biggest things are headers do not give as much gain at lower rpms like the 3.5L engine would

Eric, U don't return your emails???

We will be Data logging several parameters but I'm not sure if I can get trans temp data through the ECU interface, usually its found only on the TCU side (same box, different interface), see what I can do for ya.

As a side, I was thinking of changing my ID to "BashedMan", what do ya think???

U have mail…

What do you think of "’B’ash ‘M’y ‘W’ork" -- for Bimmer forums...

‘A’ttacked ‘C’rushed ‘U’ranus ‘R’aped ‘A’gain” – for Acura forums…

“The Hydro Lock Me” – take a pissing and keep on licking without human combustion, post detonation, or piston bitch slap

(j/k … j/k … j/k )

Screw the flamers.. your the only one I see doin $hit for these carz lol just be sure to video tape, photgraf, record every climate measure, record every loggable parameter, strip the car naked .. reassemble it , try every combo of tires and rims known, and have the pope witness it.. the submit your results here to be Anally Commited Until Rectally Ambushed because to some it aint good enough unless jesus and buddah verify your results lol hahahahaha jokeing... great work !!

LOL at Redline... Sometimes I wonder if even the Pope said he saw the dyno graph, that people here would still doubt it.

Doug,

Thanks for the update and post them dyno charts as soon as you get them!

P.S. Don't forget the J30A guys.

Of course, all work will be monitored by pundits, statesman, religious figures, and various goverment agencies (FTC/UL/SAE included) at the "Church of the Dyno Saints" in Fl, USA...

All dynos submitted with a Digimark verification and certificate of authenticity.

BTW -- Doug, don't forget to keep that lead apron on when testing (until the shielding is finished)...

Hey Nashua_Night_Hawk,

Don't hate me man . I was just in the right place at the right time. I was getting an oil change on Saturday, was talking to Doug (syncivic) & he made the offer. How could I resist. I just want to let all the people who were giving him shit know that he is a "very credible" source & this product is for real. Start saving your money guys!!! :p

Wouldnt 6 seperate throttle bodies mean that the intake maifold be redesigned as well... no more dual stage imrc... would require six individual runners ..... no F'ing way for 299

Not to be pushy, but anyway we can get those dynos up before soopa pulls the plug? I'd be painful waiting through the weekend.
