2001 cl-s - can somebody tell me if the radio is single or double din?? I like the FH-P8000BT (double din) but im not sure if it will fit, i plan on buying it online somewhere and taking it to bestbuy or circuit city to install. Is there a kit or something i can buy with it to make it fit? if not anybody have any advise on a radio? not looking to spend more then 250ish, only requirement is USB. Thanks

believe me i searched like crazy - i actually found stuff saying double din wouldnt fit, there were no kits that work with it, somebody said they used a dremmel to make something fit, but these posts are from years ago. u can fit either single or double with a mounting kit

 

I typed 'double din' into search and got 11 pages of results. Just sayin' helps things stay less cluttered.

I wouldn't recommend Bestbuy or Circuit City installing your stuff. I've heard from member on here that they mess up some of the things in the dash, and a few years ago CC didn't wire something correctly in my bothers car.

 

You can fit double or single din. Do NOT take it to BB or CC. Take it to a place that knows car audio. You can buy the metra kit for around $20, but it's the only kit and only fits single din. You can mod it to fit double din though. If you're only going $250, sounds like you are sticking with single din.
