Simlar Alarm questions

I'm looking into buying a CL-S. I hated the alarm on my current car. It would beep, & flash the light swhen I locked it, but when I unlocked it, it would do nothing. No sounds, no lights, nothing. The range was just horriable too. Many times I yanked on the door handel only to find it was still locked. I got so fed up, I spent $300 on a real Viper alarm system. That solved it! Now on the CL-S does the alarm do anything when you unlock it? Flash lights, chirp etc? How's the range?

when unlocking, lights blink. when locking, the first time you hit the lock button, lights blink. second time you hit the lock button, it chirps. range of the alarm isn't that good. but, per the advice of some folks here, hold the fob touching under your chin and amazingly, the range goes much much further.

The range on our ALARM is AWESOME if you hold it on your chin. I once locked/unloced from 300 feet + but i was kina on a uphill parking lot.

I am NOT doing the chin thing! I was told to do that with my current car(BY THE DEALER!) Forget that! So I have to press the lock button 2 times for it to beep for locking. Will it always beep after that, or do I have to press it 2 times always?

Once is just for silene lock. 2nd one is a 'confirmation' beep and side lights. The chin thing is optional, you know just to extend the range. will work on any transmitter even aftermarkets.
