SilverKnight or other Sound Install Guru's

I checked the archives ... looks like SilverKnight has a good install template.
http://www.acura-cl.com/cgi-bin/ulti...&f=16&t=000039

but the pics are down.

I'm just trying to add BASS to the stock BOSE system. I have the components listed in my sig. I bought a MA amp kit, and a Monster Cable Factory Linx FXSB 100 in-line converter. I got them both for $90, been waiting for a good deal.

Any install tips? SilverKnights aren't quite what I'm looking for I dont think.

Foti,

Does your Amp have speaker level inputs? You shoudl run the wire from the drivers side. The panels by the door are easy to remove. Use a coat hanger to get to the back of the car.

Spiro,

I'm doing the install right now. I just have to run the power to the amp from the battery (haven't been able to get thru the firewall yet), and i need to tap the speaker lines to get the sound. everything else is ready.

ok here is where i'm at.

i got everything hooked up.

i'm trying to figure out two things. which wires to tap for the sound, and which wire to tap for the amp turn-on.

i found an old post from AthenaCLTypeS. are these the correct wires to tap?

So:
1) yellow/white (5) is the radio switch that you used for the sony amp power on switch.

2) then you tapped the rear right speaker:
black (7)(-) & blue (20) (+)

3) and the rear left speaker:
green (9)(-) & red (22) (+)

Look at the Shawn S schematic to see the wires numbers. Let me know if they are correct.

I'd check the fuse in the amp as well as the in-line fuse from the battery.
