Photoshop correct sir. Still wit the 4x4 look I know. I want to go teinSS but it's either suspension or the rims/tires. I can't have both.

bro- if those are your options, I mean since you cant do both at the same time, I would get the coilovers FIRST, then the tires/wheels when you have the $ I would not get tires/wheels first without a drop, because it would just look bad. (hmmm...unless you're getting 17's?)

Yeah when the teins are installed. It'll be nice. SO it'll prolly have to wait till next summer, the suspension that is.

17's. Yea, i can't decide what i want to do. Ugh. Suspension would be much cheaper. Rims/tires would run me close to 2g's and suspension would be about 1,500. I want to drop the car bad because i think it's the only thing keepin it from looking really nice. HOWEVER, there are days when the car just doesn't accelerate like i know it could because of the heavy ass tires and rims.

Performance V. Looks

Zapata just for your info the 03' wheels are like 22 lbs. and your Michelin All-season are the same weight as the stock which is pretty much average for a high performance tire in that size. I know you expect great exceleration outta of it but you can't think it will be night and day. If you want next time we are at Etown we'll take a spin in my car with no engine mods and that should make your decision much easier.

Zapata - if you're waiting on TEINs to come up something new, it's gonna be awhile. They finally answered my latest email to them, and although they come off as being commital to coming up with a CL specific application, there is no timeframe as to when (or really if) this will happen. As far as the rims ... at least our cars will look different if you go this route as they don't do a thing for me. If you haven't read it, check out my thread about my visit to Jens yesterday.

Well i was sorta hoping they'd come out with out a specific kit soon. In fact i did read your thread. PAA is the best. I usually burn 1 day just go up but it's well worth it, i think.

Yeah the rims aren't as much cosmetic as they are performance. As long as the rims don't take away from the car.

Zapata you are the perfect candidate for the SSR you know they may not be the prettiest wheels on the CL-S but they are the lightest.

Lou,
yea, exactly. Problem is i want both the drop and the rims From the pics it LOOKS much better with the drop. I'll gain performance with the lower suspesion without a doubt but my current rim/tire setup is what is slowing me down because of lack of traction which i know isn't helped by suspension sqaut fawk. See what i mean? I dunno what to do. Today i'm leaning more towards the tein.

thanks Zapata for making me sound like a blithering IDIOT

just kidding I will take pics of the Comptech springs and the Koni yellows I think its a perfect drop with the 12" sub and amps in the rear. I've had the springs for less than a month so they haven't settled yet but you will get a good I idea doesn't look that different than the photochop pic with the drop and you already have the springs "what are you waiting for buy some KONIs and call it a day"

just my

Titand19,
Welp my car isn't lowered yet so i need to figure out which i do first. Rims V. Suspesion

Lou,
Sold the springs already so i don't have them. I've already eliminated springs/shocks. Coilover is the only choice

Not fo decorashion More for performance. The rims don't wow me either but they look half decent and the performance is second to none.

why dont you tell us how GIDDY you were all over :ghey:

for your info GT3 are 25 lbs for the 3 piece wheel making the semi-solid forged useless...paying extra for nothing. The Comps. are 18.5 lbs in the 18x8 while the 17" are 14 lbs. and a couple of grams

as far as me making you an offer on my OLD GT1 is hilarious...but how does it feel having sloppy seconds after I pimped the fawk outta those wheels your in love with now. Your GT1s in 17" are 17.5 lbs. and mine are 14 lbs. and are 8 inch wide while ur 7.5 why would I want to downgrade only you would believe that...but then again you think pads are better than the Brembo kit so there is no telling what else you believe

u remember how psyched i was back in Nov at E-town when u hinted u were considering sellin 'em

for your info GT3 are 25 lbs for the 3 piece wheel making the semi-solid forged useless...paying extra for nothing. The Comps. are 18.5 lbs in the 18x8 while the 17" are 14 lbs. and a couple of grams

i was suggesting them jus fo decorashon, thas all...GT3's on an anthracite IMO would look fantastic, but again, i was suggesting just for show, not go

as far as me making you an offer on my OLD GT1 is hilarious...but how does it feel having sloppy seconds after I pimped the fawk outta those wheels your in love with now. Your GT1s in 17" are 17.5 lbs. and mine are 14 lbs. and are 8 inch wide while ur 7.5 why would I want to downgrade only you would believe that...but then again you think pads are better than the Brembo kit so there is no telling what else you believe

hmmmm, how bout #1, i personally like the 5-spoke design to the 6+ multi-spoke (i even made a thread about this preference), #2, thanks to the GT1 specs, i was able to get a tire that supercedes most ANYONE on this board's load rating on ANY other tire, which gives me a distinct advantage in the cornering dep't and if yer brave enough to try autox against me , #3, sorry, but i'd rather lose 14 pounds of weight than swap out of kicka$$ rims, but that's just me , and #4, this Brembo v. pads issue is so old and worthless...i have provided proof that Brembo's r not worth spending all that money and have yet to see proof from u that they ARE worth all that money...period
