I rolled up to the PAA meet in an S500.....overpriced, not the most exciting to drive, but quick. I do like Benz's overall though.

This is it what I'm looking forward to

What! The s500 is yours???? FAWK! What time did yo leave???? Ugh. Yeah, definetly not a sports car but it's about as pimp as you can get without buying a Bentley Even then i still like the benz exterior over the Bentley. If I could just do an interior swap.....which i'm sure i could if had enough money to buy and s500. I agree the car is a bit over priced. IF the car had a bigger engine with like 400hp/400trq it would be well worth it. I sat in one at the car show. The interior is, eh, but that kind of crap can be fixed

I've driven a 2001 S 500 a few times. They are so sweet to drive and pretty quick. I wonder if a CL-S could take one in a race.

no way. That thing has nearly 400ft-lbs torque. Yes, it's an auto tranny but it's german so--i'm making a guess here-- the loss isn't too bad.

s500

355/391 + 18%= 291/320

That's nearly 8.4:1 power to weight ratio....on a 4000lbs car.

We have 7.4 on a stock cls. You could get 8.4 on a fully modded cls but even then. The torque on the car will simply out pull us in the beginning and then the horsepower takes over. We might stay close depending on the final drive ratio as mercedes are usually gear pretty low to provide optimal highway power. But if you had to make a bet I'd wouldn't chose the CLS

It's nice, but I think it's a little too big. And over priced. For less you can get the E55 AMG which gives you better performance, but a little less space.

You still buy CDs? :sqnteek: Latelly, I been enjoying that cornnut Louie Devito and Dance Factory CD, although most of the tracks are old, but still good. Lots of vocals.

Not much. These are the first CD's i've bought in a LONG time. I got sick of getting shitty versions and bad rip jobs. Eh, i'm not too into vocals. I have a couple of Prodigy CD's. They are techno correct?

You must be kidding, the interior is the worst part of the car....plastic garbage (you have to go $120k for an S600 to get a more plush interior). Lets see what MB does for the 03 Sclass update.

YUP!!!! That's the first thing i noticed besides how roomy it is. My only two complaints are the interior and the engine.

As much as I like the S55 (or anything AMG for that matter), I'd go with my friend's recent purchase instead--Audi S8 in Arctic Silver ( or whatever Audi calls it).

A8 is badass no doubt but audi's are like BMW's......more performance than cruiser luxary.

Bahaeh yeah, i'm not big fan of q-town either. Btw, nice pick up on the sign there I was wondering when somebody would say something. Anyway, I was heading up to my womans parent's place in allentown and we take 309 N. I'm about 15mins away from q-town so we can meet whenever. Weekends are better for me but we can arrange a time during the week. Just let me know when you want to meet!!

Yeah for sure! I've had the same warning from a couple of people. Uhm, yeah it is but getting to the turnpike from my place takes about 15 mins and that additional time wipes out any gains. Yeah, Montgomery Mall sounds good. I'll see if i can't get Xenon7 to come with so we can all be introduced.
