I Was Wondering If Someone Could Tell Me Some Signs That Your Tranny Is About To Go So I Would Know What To Look For. And Does Any Light On Your Dashboard Come To Let You Know Its About To Go.

I slipped from 5th to 2nd at about 60 mph. The VSA light came on the next day and a day later the CEL was on.

The largest sign is while driving it slips between shifts from 2-3 like a slipping clutch. It will start out real small but noticeable and gradually get more pronounced. Happened that way on all 5 of my failures

 

Mine had a different issue, It wouldn't shift out of gears anytime before 3500 to 4000 rpm. Only way to hit 5th gear was with the sport shift.
so they replaced the tranny, ecu and throttle body.

Now i have different issue:
usually with a cold engine/tranny, driving 40-45mph on a flat road, the car will be in 5th gear revving almost nothing, i mean less than 1.5k rpm.
well with a constant throttle pressure to maintain the speed. the car starts jerking, as if the transmission wants to shift into 4th, but cancels and moves back in 5th. .. it'll jerk 3-4 times, then stop.. somtimes it'll do it again, other times that's all it does.

it's been doing that for the past 15k miles or so, now i'm at 82, got a tranny replaced at 60k miles or so, and i got the car used with 37k miles
