Should I get an MT CL-S?
Just bought a CLS-6MT with 85 K miles for $8750 in Florida. Cost me another $600 fly down, pick it up and drive home to Kansas. These cars are fairly hard to come by, so one in good shape with decent miles (less than 100K) will probably cost $8-9k.
just bought my 03 cls6 white on black 4 months ago, with: stainless braided brake lines, comptech headers, axle back, sway bars in FRONT and back and front STB, aem intake and power pulleys, new firestone firehawk tires with 101k for $8,650
feel like i paid just about top dollar, it is the rarest of cls6 and it had all mods that i wanted, it only needed front brakes, suspension and just some cleaning up :0)
i love it, sounds great, looks awesome and paint and interior is clean as can be
imho, id say dont worry about what it books for on KBB or galves or whatever, use it as a base price and spend what you think is worth it.....

So I ended up getting a 2003 MT, taffeta white.
I will need to clean this thing up and then post pictures. It was supposed to be my simple and fun daily driver but I think I am going to end up dropping it. The stock wheel gap is horrible.
I need to start reading up on the forums for some DIYs and some restoration of the interior.

No mine is the more common White/Tan with no nav. It has an aftermarket nav unit though.
7-9K is about right for a good one...
Anything lower priced, and it's going to have some issues...
My CLS6 is at 145k and is starting to get a little worn for wear. New England winters haven't been kind to her.

Bump with pics
I wanted to update this thread with pics. I got my CL-S 6MT in October 2012 and have put 17k flawless miles (yes I drive a lot).
It is basically a nearly stock 2003 CL-S. But today was the first day I washed the car myself since I've owned it.
"Mods" I've done:
I'm probably about done with the car, except I plan on getting some red powder coated Legend GS front calipers.

"Mods" I've done:
- Lowered on Tein Street Basis coilovers.
- Tires are plus sized to Falken Ziex-912 235/45 R17s
- HP Solargard tint 32% on the fronts, 20% rears.
- Cleaned up the headlights with a Turtle Wax kit.
- Re-badged the car.
- Changed the transmission fluid to GM SynchroMesh Friction Modified.
- Removed the short ram intake. Reinstalled a stock intake and resonator.
- Changed the shift knob to a 3rd gen TL.
I'm probably about done with the car, except I plan on getting some red powder coated Legend GS front calipers.

Forgot to ask, do you notice anything different with the plus one tires? It's almost time for new tires and I was considering plus one because of some discussion I've read on here.
Also, I'm planning on doing the legend calipers upgrade as well soon. keep us posted!!

I get less wheel hop from acceleration, whereas I used to get it pretty badly even from moderate acceleration. I also feel more capable in turns. I inadvertently activated the ABS a few times in rainy weather with the old tires with just moderate braking.
I also had very crappy generic tires from the previous owner. So my before and after aren't directly comparable.
My gas mileage dropped by about 1 mpg though. So it is not without its downsides.
