Should I do it?

I'm thinking very, very seriously about trading my '01 CL-S for this:

2003 NHBP CL-S-6 ? Would it be worth it? I basically stole my '01 (when I bought it on January 20th, it had 33,421 miles on it) and I got it for whole sale. So do you think this place would do close to an even trade? Or they possibly know what they have, and won't go any cheaper?

Hopefully you guys can help me with my decision.

Thanks!

Ryan.

There is no way you'll get an even trade on this, expect to put out about 7-9k most likely. I'd suggest getting it since the autotragic tranny could go, or maybe not.

Yeh, no way you'll get an even trade. How many miles do you have on your 01 CL now? I would probably make the switch. Sell the 01 privately if you can and make some extra cash. But, the 6 speed will still cost you a bit.

It's up to you. I'd do it , but I'm biased.

I will do it if you can afford the payments and the price is right. Also, make sure that the car has not been abused by previous owner.

Even? Are you nuts? You might get $14k trade-in for your car.

I just clicked over 38,000 miles. It was just a though. I didn't think I'd get even trade. But I'd hope I'd get more than $14k for it. I'll hopefully get more like $16k, but I can only be hopeful.

Would the insurance on the 6-speed increase over the initial cost of the auto-magic?

Please don't let my first impression in the "burn out" thread be the last one. I just typed what I was trying to say, wrong.

If its in your area I would check it out...You'll love the 6spd, I know I do and I'm sure I speak for most of the 6speeders...

If the 6spd you're looking at has a asking price of 20K, how much to you think the dealer gave on trade in on it ?? Probably 16-18... I think a 2001 would be worth less then a 2003, so you'd probably be looking at 13-15 (you do have low mileage on yours).

Check out this thread for some recent comments on pricing...

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=168308

You can run a seach for 2001 CL's w/ mileage like yours to see what they have for asking prices (selling price is different) in your area...

20K with navi for a 6spd sound like a good price for a buyer, but that means my 6spd non-navi is probably only worth 16-18 on a dealer trade, or maybe 20-21 on a private sale...

Go for it. Parents said I can't have it anyway. Being at that dealership, it's probably been wrecked anyway.

That price seems extremly low for a 2003 with navi and only 33k miles. I would pull the carfax on that before you buy.
