Should I buy a new Alternator when I put on my UR Pulley's?
I just got UR Pulley's and I'm having them go on this weekend. My 03 CL-S is currently at 100k miles. I'm having the timing belt done and the UR Pulley's done at the same time. Should I also replace the alternator to save on labor, and have a fresh alternator?

Only if you need it. Check the voltage on your battery with the car off. It should be around 13 volts. Check it with the car on. It should go slightly over 14 volts. And then check it with the headlights on, A/C etc and ask the shop for what voltage should be at that point, probably 13.6-13.8. If all that checks out your alternator is fine.

my voltage drops at idle from about 13.6 down to 13.1 some times, its really weird, than it would continue fluctating, stabalize later, than might not have the problem again, its been going on for a while, could this be the alternator?
