Should I...

I don't know what to do... I went into Miami Acura today to look @ a CL-S 6 speed they had & I happen to sit in a 05 TSX 6 speed & well... I think I might be in love. Is this wrong? LoL. What do you guys think? My CL-S has 107,000 miles on it, it still run GREAT!!! I have no problems w/ it, but I was thinking of getting a 03 CL-S, but that TSX is looking kind of sexy. You guys have any suggestions?

I've had the TSX as a loaner before. It's nice and new, and sporty decent speed for what it is. But in comparison to the CL-S, two totally different cars. If you want something brandnew then get it. Either or is a good choice. I am a CL fan, but the TSX is nice. But the CL is much quicker, and more classy. Depends if you like a coupe or sedan better?

i'd get the 03 6 speed. just because the car is no longer being made and how it's unique in it's own way. i've driven v6's all my life and when i drove a 4 banger, it was like night and day. good luck!

TSX is great, it's just too under powered compaired to the CL-S. You should get the 6speed CL-S.

The TSX is a dime a dozen... How often do you see a CL-S 6 spd on the road...?

Yeah me too, I've always had V6's & that's one of the things holding me back about the TSX is that it's a 4 cyl. I haven't give the TSX a test drive, but like you said I know it's going to be like night & day.

Hell No..I would never go from the power of the J series to the whine of the K series, but it handles and looks good

Yep, I said the same thing when I saw a new Milano Red TSX w/ OEM bodykit back in 2004 on the dealer showroom... Great looking car, and since it's about 200lbs lighter then a CLS, it'll have more responsive handling...

BUT, there's not much power until the engine gets wound up...

I'd get a used CLS 6spd before a TSX... CL 6spd can be had for around 20K, while a TSX 6mt without navi is going to run at least $25K (if you can get it at invoice). Just seems to me that while the TSX is a great car, a used CL 6spd would be a better bang for the buck

Or at least that's what I tell myself whenever I think about getting a TSX

V6 > I4 & CL-S > TSX = LH's

I've had several TSX loaners and I have to say, I cringe everytime the service advisor says... "ok, here's the key to your loaner... it's the light blue TSX right outside..."

Check out these threads for some good comparisons...

The debate: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=169498
-lots of good points made in there and check out post #71

The outcome: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=170419

Hope that helps!

edit: This is the second time I've pulled both of these threads within a few days. What is going on here?

TSX just doesn't have enough power IMHO. It's like a small version of a TL. I see them all over South FL.

What is the dealer looking to get for the CLS? Color? Navi? Miles?

I love the exclusivity of the CL as well. (Cause no one wants to buy 'em ) I see TSX's and TL's everywhere.

i agree here too. i had a TSX loaner when they installed the jet kit, and it felt soooooo sloooooow, and i'm not into speed.

it felt great to get my CL back!

the interior is nice on the TSX though...

Don't do it! I just bought my CL-S 6spd a couple weeks ago and was ready to buy an 06 TSX 6spd the day I saw the CL. The car is way underpowered, especially after you've driven the CL. A girlfriend of mine has a 05 TSX (which is another reason to avoid it) so I've spent some time behind the wheel.

It does handle great. The drive by wire takes a bit getting used to. I was planning on putting the RSX Type-S throttle body on to eliminate that. Also to improve handling a Civic Si LSD (which Honda will install for you).

But being 6'4" the CL-S is just a more perfect car all around. I love my car!

A TSX with a 6 speed and Navi would be dope, I love my inline fours. But the CL-S 6 speed is baller.
