We just had a MAJOR ASS thunderstorm blow through here and dump a couple inches of rain.
The guy on the radio just gave a long list of roads that are closed from downed trees, accidents & stranded cars.
Power is still out for many traffic signals.
They also said to avoid driving through any “standing water” if you’re unsure how deep it is.

I only drive about 10-miles, but most of it is up/down country roads.
Maybe I’ll get to test the BYPASS VALVE out tonight.

Made it no problem.
Not too much water, but lots of branches, stones & other debris on the roads.
Had a close call with an upside-down shopping cart in the middle of the road, but my “spidey senses” allowed me to safely swerve around it at speed.

storm here on Long Island was a bit rough...my car is now covered with waterspots and dried up pollen...remember, i park on the street every day, so my baby's a prime target...makes for the perfect eyesoar

 

Westchester hit a period of Strong Rain at like 6pm... lasted about 30 minutes and cleared out to a beautiful night... I figured with the waterspots and dirt and crap on my car from rain and driving in the wet streets I would wash it on my day oof (friday) but wouldn't you know that friday is going to be like 65 degrees and raining!!!! Mother Fer.... And Saturday looking like shit too!!!!
