Short update on Comptech Supercharger and CAI

I emailed Comptech a few days ago asking about any new parts for our CL and received a reply stating the following:

"We'll be releasing a superhcharger kit and a cold air intake sometime in mid March. Please check back then for any new updates. Thanks."

Hopefully this is true because I don't wanna get anyone's hopes up then disapoint them. Just wanted to give us something to look forward to in the near future (hopefully).

I still have confidence that Comptech can pull it off by Mid March,...
Much better than the RES, still MIA

46 days before the drag track opens..

The 6speed won't have the same problem our automatic tranny does. :P

Any more info on Comptech Cold Air Intake? I just looked at their web site and all it has is that high flow air filter? The reason I asked is I talked to someone at my dealership today and he told me not to get the AEM, that I should get the comptech b/c AEM voids the "whole warranty of the car." I just laughed at him.

Dumb-ass salesmen

On another note, while the 6 speed may not suffer from the same tranny problems as the Automatic, I wonder (read: doubt) if Comptech will build us a heavy duty clutch to better handle all that power.

Damn, there's gonna be some fast CLs out there--especially with that sweet limited slip differential. Time to put the drag radials on!

When a group of us were out there lastm we spoke with the head engineer I think and he was telling us that Honda's ATF was getitng way too hot and that it also broke down at those temps. He said they put in Redline ATF and off the bat it lowered temps by about 10 degrees but even better was the fluid dind't break down.
