Short Shifter?
I've been looking around on the internet for a short shifter for my 6MT and I can't seem to find one. I know that neuspeed made one when the car first came out but the sites I did find it listed on didn't have it in stock anymore and just didn't update their sites. Does anyone know if there is a crossover from the 04 TL 6MT short shifter that would work; or another company that makes one? If so where can I find one? Thanks in advance for the help.

uhhhh if you searched, there are two recent topics posted by me and rondog about the short shifter that i found to work.
but there's an adapter by neuspeed
and there's an 98-02 accord short shifter by pspec. when ordering you must contact him to let him know you have a 03 cl because there is one small part you need

an adult perspective
This is still in the factory sealed wrapping, never installed, and it is/was their 2nd version (those with any kind of memories will recall that there was an issue with the first design because of it's interaction with the trim plate). First picture is blurry (no flash) to show everything in sealed wrapper, next shots with flash but (obvious) reflections off plastic wrapper. Unlike (at least) one of those hyperlinks, this is the correct part number fuw an '03 6 speed manual (unlike a couple of those links which show them for the '01 and up CL's).
I'll sell for less than what I saw on those four links ... PM me with an offer if interested.

Big thanks to Mike for sending me this shift kit. How's this for a cool guy: he says make an offer so I say $90 and he says that's too much and undercuts himself/me? by $10, I get it before my check even clears, and the item/Neuspeed box looks factory fresh!
By the way I did check w/ a couple of those links and they no longer have this kit.

Put the short shifter kit on yesterday and it is an okay mod. The install was pretty simple due to the explicit instructions. The hardest part for me was figuring out how far to bend the passenger side console panel for removal - turns out pretty damn far is okay. It seems that even w/ this '2nd' version there is some boot frame pushing that some have used a dremel to fix. I used a hot butter knife to melt the plastic on the boot frame plastic - easy. Anyway the kit does reduce the throws a bit, not drastically, but it is noticeable. There is more effort required for the shifts as can be expected from changing the leverage. The feel is a bit more notchy, but this gives a slightly more positive thunk that makes it harder to mistake a gear. I am using a heavy 400g shifter and this helps. So in all I had hoped the throws would be shorter and the notchiness was less, but I do like the more positive engagement and will see if the aluminum bushings that are on the way will help smooth back the thunk to more of a snick.
