Short shiffter for 03 CLS 6spd
What company makes a short shifter for my car. Also is ok for me to change the boot and know to a momo one. Where can I buy the Shortshifter and does anyone have any probs installing it and how short is it. thanx

Neuspeed is the company that makes the short shifter. www.neuspeed.com
It shortens the throw, but doesnt shorten the rod if thats what your thinking. You can change the boot to momo no problem. I did it, but ended up putting it back to the stock one because i didn't like the momo all that much. You just need to drill a hole in the litle plate attached to the shift rod basically to install it. Do a search for neuspeed short shifter and some threads should turn up.

what do you mean drill a hole. Man my car is nearly new I don't want to do some ghetto Shit.
Will be able to take a picture of it. And you said the rod doesn't get shorter but the throws do I don't understand.

Where is my super sauce?
You might want to do a search for Neuspeed and short shifter. There's a number of threads that detail the installation and possible modifications needed for the install. There are some that like it and others that don't (I'm in the latter group).
Neuspeed makes the only short shifter kit for the 6MT CL Type S. As brian6speed outlined, it's an adapter bracket rather then a true shorter shifter.
Getting a smaller shift knob will also drop the shifter throw and height. Do a search for shift knob too and you'll find a lot of threads with some nice pics.

i have a momo boot installed and it looks mint, if youpull off the boot trim piece w the 6sp diagram it has a small insert holding the stock boot in with some staples, basically i pulled out the staples w/ a plier and reinstalled the momo using the same staples, simple. i also got a momo sphere knoob and it shortened the look of the rod by over an inch because the rod goes higher into the knob. its a really sweet setup b/c the color of the knob matches the titanium trim in our cars and the polished rings make it look classy, and the thickness and quality of the momo boot definately makes a difference, i'd post some pics but i dont have a dig camera.

Like a number of others, I have installed the TSX shift knob. It shortens the throw and, because it is quite heavy, it allows for much crisper shifts. I kept the standard boot. There is a thread on the topic TSX knob
I bought mine from Dali Racing: Link
The photo at Dali distorts the colour. It is actually silver (titanium?), not bronze. With the red six speed shift pattern, it really looks as if it came with the car.
