Short Review: Import Wars a the NED. (August 24 2002)

Nashua, how was the show and how did you do? What kinda cars were there and how fast were the runs? Sorry for all the questions but I want to know if its worth going to the one in October!
I attended and raced into 2 classes: Street Class and Street Shoot out. I had 6 runs before the event was canceled due to rain. 5 trial runs and 1 elimination run that I won!!!

As for the Show, I did not have chance to see it. I guess it was packed with a lot of hoocked-up cars. And, by noon, the tropheys were being awareded in bunches.

I was very busy drooling over the RaceTech Prepared cars (in the racers pit): a brand new 996 Porsche Turbo, A NOSed 2002 M3, and Porsche Carerra and 1/2 dozen more of nice cars... In addition, I drolled over an all-motor integra done by a local tuner (Wang motorsports in Pelham, NH) called Picatcho 2. The dial-in just 13.3s!!! The M3 was also in low 13s ( no-NOS). The most annoying thing is to see a 3.5 Altima 5-sp with dial-in of 14.2s!

Well about the CL-S, It was damn humid (100%) and temp is 66.
I was running a consitent 14.945s to 15.05s. I saw 4 other CLS none broke below 15s. RSX-S were in high 15s, like 15.6s and up.

The best good thing is its consitency and I eliminated another guy easily. The elimation run:

Him .... Me....
Dial: 17.30 14.90
R/T 1.11 0.655
60' 2.547 2.352
1/4 17.8 15.069
ET 77.03 93.07

I outpaced him by 0.7872 s

Then the event was cancelled due to rain.
Other runs.. I beated SC400 no problem by 1.5s. he run 16.22 and I run 15.045 !! (see how consitent!)

I was smoked by a tubro Eclipse he ran 13.764 to mine of 14.94.

And 3 more trial runs. Of a special note, a teen in his blue Si Civic with the help of Vortech SC running 14.2 at 98 MPH!!!

I will do my best to attend October Event too!, In any case I can reuse my $25 ticket as rain check!

Later, I will post all timeslips.

i like the M3's 1/4's...yeah they're about 13.3 no NOS needed

see how much yer car varies in warm, humid weather??? even at 14.9, the car must feel sluggish, like it's put putting along

glad u had some fun!!!

According to Prestage.com

Correcting 14.94s @ 93.85 MPH ( BP at 27" and 66 degress) to standard conditions means a corrected run of 14.50s @ 96.58 MPH. BTW, I never broke below 2.3s for 60'.

Yeah, it felt like racing a dog... not a horse.
