Shocks for our trunk

I don't know about you guys but, one thing I don't like about the trunk is how it doesn't have those little shocks things. like on our hood how it just stays up and goes down easily. I've had the trunk kinda land on me while taking out the groceries twice now.
Even my GF mentioned that bmw's and other cars have it and my trunk seemed kinda cheap just having metal hinges to hold the trunk up.

What do you all think bout this?

Do you have a spolier? Did you get the new springs? Mine was fine untill I put the spolier on. Now I have to get the Springs for $34 to combat the weight of the spolier. These are just higher weight springs. I do wish it did have the struts though.

i think the trunk has some springs that u have to adjust if u have a spoiler...i dont remember where i read it, either here or in the manaul, but i know they have to adjust it if u want ur trunk to stay up and not fall on u...but only if u have the spoiler....

If you have a spoiler you have to get the heavier springs. With them, the trunk never, never, never comes down unless there is about 6 inches of snow on it.

I don't need the shocks. When was the last time you had to change the springs in your trunk vs. how often you have to replace those stupid shocks.

Yeah the adjustment on the stock springs makes no difference with the spolier. I have them on the higher setting.
