shipping companies used on black market

I just need sm info frm u guys that ship items to others in the black market section of this forum.
I have always used the local post office or usps/fedex but it seems they are miraculously expensive for items that weigh a lil more than 40 pounds.

so my question is this,
WHat wud be the recommended shipping method or company to ship out some (wheels + tire combo) x 4. each wheel + tire weighing abt 48 pounds each.

thanks in advance.

Go on the Fedex, UPS, and USPS sites and use their shipping calculators.

Ship wheels individually. Use UPS or Fedex if its still too heavy.

I have a Fedex account and one thing I have learned is they charge more for home delivery than to a business so if possible ask the person if you can ship it to their business if possible. If you have a UPS store or Fedex Kinkos near you can take one of the wheels or all of them and have them weigh it to get the most accurate shipping price because the calculators online aren't always accurate if you don't put in the exact measurements. From what your shipping it sounds like it will be at least a couple hundred unless you have an account that gives you a discounted rate.

there are a number of other freight companies you could ask. one used often by our distributors is http://www.aitworldwide.com - they might be able to help you? not sure if they work with consumers but worth a shot.

Use Grey Hound. They're cheap for shipping big stuff. Downside is that you have to go down to the Grey Hound station to pick the items up and it can take a week or so. I shipped a car hood from Maine to Minnesota for only $60.
