Shifting Question?

Whats up guys, so here's the deal short and sweet.....when at WOT first gear shifts @ ~6700rpm, second gear gets to that same shifting point (right before redline) and then shoots upto ~7100 rpms. When it does this, shifting out of second, the car pulls pretty hard acceleration wise, its not like its free revving so to say between shifts. Whats my car doing? It started doing this only after I added my headers if that makes any sense. Thanks for any help.

I would say it's just the added power of the headers. The car want to rev more, & revs faster.

Interesting... I noticed the same on mine after the header install, or maybe I just started noticing it more because I'm actually paying attention to the shift points now. Not sure why it does this though.
