Is the shift knob replaceable by any 5-speed shift knob? There are lots of hot looking replacements out there..and finally I can get one (I've always had automatics). Has anyone done this. Please post pics! Thanks!

 

not sure about the cl/cl-s, but i replaced it on my tl-s. the neck is fairly thin compared to those on regular 5 speeds (like my bro's 99 accord). i think these have a 10mm neck while the acura's have an 8mm one. so you'll need to get knobs that use hard plastic liners instead of being prethreaded. you basically find the liner that is about the same diameter as the neck, screw it into the knob, and then make your own threads as you screw the knob on.

mine was a razo knob.

 

I've got a MOMO knob on order. It apparently comes with different sized inserts to fit different shafts. I'll let you know how it goes.
