shift knob

Does any one know how to remove the shift knob on a 2001 cls auto.

lol, use a special key that only the acura dealer has.

Make sure you disconnect the battery first or your airbags will POP out!!!.....

Never tried with my CL but my Prelude you just had to muscle it...no newbie abuse involved. Once it slips it is real easy.

I might add that you just muscle the bottom part...which was chrome under the leather....but since I am not in the car right now I don't know if it looks the same in the CL.

So which one is it. Do I just twist it or do I need a tool to do it. If I just twist it, does that mean that the knob is threaded. If so how did acura get the threads perfect so th type-s logo lines up perfectly. Thanks for the help guys and the jokes:P
