Set of New Toys!!! PICS Inside... woot!!

My Rotora Big Brake Kit finally arrived. They've been out of stock for a long time and I managed to get my hands on a set! Super cheap too! I'm putting them on next Friday since school and work is just too crazy at the moment. I'll update everyone with pics of course. Here are some pictures to drool over.....

Shown: Rotora BBK (4 Piston Calipers, 13.1" CD/Slotted Discs, Rear Slotted Rotors, & all hardware and lines), Axxis Ultimate Pads, & 2 Pairs of H&R 5mm Spacers with studs.

Lookin good Dustin.

My 5mm H&R spacers ended up arriving yesterday and they did manage to ship out TWO sets.

One thing though, on both boxes package i got it says 10mm but after matching up the model #’s that were written on them (1065640), turns out they mean 10mm as in combined between both spacers in each box. Had me worried there for a second when i first saw that.

Does it say 10mm on your boxes as well?

$890 Yes, that is $605 off retail price, nearly 1/2 off!

I could not believe how massive the calipers are! They are HUGE but lightweight! Comparing diameter to overall length, they're significantly bigger than the rear rotors. Plus the discs are HUGE too!

Chap,
Yes my boxes too say 10mm, it's the combined width of the pairs I guess. I already test fitted a pair, fit very nicely and keeps the wheels centered too since it leaves a lip of the center bore.

Excellent deal. You're going to enjoy them. I was going to ask why you just went with slotted on the rear rotors instead of combos but at that price, who cares. You can buy 4 sets of rear rotors with what you saved.

Cutting off the front dust shields is probably the worst part of this install. There are some #2 phillips screws behind the hub you have to get to so make sure you have a 90 degree screwdriver to crack them. Also, bleed the inner bleed screw first and then the outer.

Also, I don't see rear steel braided lines in the pictures. If you don't have them, Rotora does sell them separately so you may want to consider getting those also.

Take lots of Pics.

Thanks for tips! I'll definitely keep them in mind. I may go with the rear braided lines and I may not, possibly because brake feel is negligible coming from the rear also.

I'm also going to paint the rear calipers sometime in the future to match the look.

The way work and school is looking, I'm hoping I can install these with some time off, but if not, I already scheduled an appointment with Arnold at Streetimage.

Thanks guys.

If you're thinking about doing the rear lines, $60 isn't a bad price. Consider doing it all at once and bleeding the system completely at the same time with som Motul RBF600

Looks like I'll be getting the rear lines from Rotora from Arnold. $50-60 is not a bad price at all. Keep everyone updated.

Yeah. They fit behind the stock wheels with a 5mm spacer.

Getting them installed tomorrow!

I ended up just going ahead with Arnold's shop; since he'll be providing the fluid and braided rear brake lines.

I'll be posting pics tomorrow night, my friend (Edddie) and I already staked out some awesome spots and our camera's are good to go. I'll try my best to get dusk/dawn rolling shots if our mount works.

Thats good news man.

Mine went on yesterday and i'm extremely pleased with the overall look and feel with the BBK in the front and new rotors/pads for the rear.

You're gonna love em.

Also I had my rear caliper painted red to match the fronts and it came out amazing.

Can't wait to see pics of your setup as well.
