Sequential Sportshift Issues...

I test drove a Red CL-S (at Acura Sherway for the Toronto readers)

And during the test drive, I had it in the Sequential Sportshift mode and it would automatically SHIFT UP. It didn't happen all the time during the test drive, but it happened enough that I noticed it.

Thats not supposed to happen is it?

From what I understand, its only supposed to SHIFT/GEAR DOWN automatically.

Has this happened to anyone else?

SS will shift from 1st to 2nd automaticly. Dont think its supposed to do it for the other gears.

The shift from 1-2 will still occur in SS mode. Why? Who knows. But it does do it.

If you really wanted to hold out first gear, drop the level to 1, then slide it to 2 when you want to shift to second, the D3 for third, etc.

Sport Shift was kinda neutered by not letting us hold out first gear.

I agree. Is there any way to bypass the SS1-->SS2, SS2-->SS1 shift? I think there's a post on this, but I'm too lazy to look...

Don't forget to mention that it wont shift into 3rd unless it feels like it! I fucking hate that.

AMEN!!!!! Glad someone else has this problem. During aggressive driving, you can pretty much count on giving it AT LEAST two clicks to get it to go to 3rd gear!

One of these days I'm gonna break the damn lever. I start pounding on the thing it infuriates me so much. P O S!!!

Are you implying that a manual stick shift always go into gear when you shift the lever?
