I only had the CL-S for about 3 months maybe 3 1/2.. I love it and my friends do to ... but last week my friend got a Honda S2000.. oh man.. that car is sweet..I was thinking hmm 350Z or g35 should be better.. or rx-8.. but after car and driver August issue saying s2000 was top rodster and the new japanese car test video... which included s2000, wrx, miata, rx-8 and g35 coupe and S2000 smoked the competition.. But im trying to sell the S.. and hopefully have my s2000 by next week... But we'll see.. if i cant get the s2000 since my insurance is so high (400 bucks a month).. I wouldnt mind driving the CL.. since its still a awesome car.. but just doesnt suite me right now... we'll see...

You can get a used z06 vette for 35,000. Less than 10K mi,
that's what I'm getting next. Then you'll really blow away the comp.

 

Depreciation on a car that only 3 1/2 months is gonna hurt. My WAG would be anywhere from $4K to $7K for the cost of ditching the CLS for something else.

You might want to goto a dealer and find out what the cost to upgrade to a new car so soon is gonna cost ya'. You might be suprised at what the final figure is (out of pocket or rolled into a high monthly payment).

 

Yeah, I've been watching the prices on the C5's too. The regular early C5's have come down into the mid 20's with some miles on 'em . Z06's are coming down into the high 30's w/ a couple (mostly private sales) going a little cheaper.I don't look at automatics forsale (just 6spds), so that may have tainted my perception of the used C5 market value.

Wait till the C6 comes out. I'm sure we'll see the C5 (and Z06) come down in price with alot of vette owners wanting to upgrade to the C6 and having to sell or trade their C5.

I'm wondering if the upcoming 350Z roadster will have the same efffect on the prices of used 350Z coupes once it comes out. I would be really tempted to buy a used 350Z if the price was right.

Well I got the CL for really cheap... I calculated it.. I should only be spending about 150 dollars more a month... i checked with insurance dealership and everything... I know the owner at the honda dealer (s2k owner to ) he said 33 g's out the door with tax... included.. plus im gonna try to sell my CL for 23 g's.. I bought it for 19,700.. so not that big of a lost
