If you want, then do it I guess .. but I can assure you as I've said in the thread, that with the right map the chip DOES provide very noticeable gains.

I feel alot of extra torque down low, and crisper throttle response. The car all around feels more peppy. The extra torque is felt right from the line, all through the midrange, then when I hit VTEC its like I installed headers all over again. The car just PULLS, PULLS, and KEEPS PULLING real hard, straight to redline.

However, getting that right map may be a bitch .. its hard to tell.

You may have the right map right out of the box, or you may have to send in for a remap. Have you ever had your car dyno'd with A\F map?

Edit: I see your from NJ, if your close by you can take the car for a ride and see the difference.

the only thing that sucks is that nobody really wants to buy one... i had mine for sale for a while and ended up just returning it to unichip and got a refund less my deposit... i know of a couple people have returned their chips...

Randys did you and blader compare reviews or did you just always have problems with it?

Randy and I could've compared but he never installed the chip. He just returned it .. I never had a problem with it besides not having the right map; no CEL's or any other malfunctions.

Blader, I think you might be the only one who has seen impressive gains with the chip. I was considering selling it too, but I don't think anyone is that interested in it. I haven't had any problems with CEL's or anything but i just don't feel any gains from it. the only thing i have noticed lately is i am getting better gas mileage. normally i would go to about 150 miles and be on 1/2 tank. now i can get to around 180-190 miles before getting to 1/2 tank.

Its hard to say, its hit or miss. You may have the correct map right out of the box, or you may not.

If I had the same map I have now right out of the box, I would've been

but the gains are worth what it took to get the right map.

The gains will be there with the right map, and especially with a custom tune. That's what I was going to do before I got the S/C.
