sell the CLS?

What are you guys thoughts on this?

I like the CLS, but I'm tired of the spotty tranny. I haven't had a failure yet, but I feel the jitters at 54000 miles, I just had it serviced and it's been since then.

I used to own a 92 Legend and I'm thinking of trying to get into a late model (94-95) Legend GS. Do any of you all think I'm crazy for wanting to sell a 2002 CLS for a 95 Legend GS?

Agreed, the dealer swapped mine out without question. Now I'm on my third however @ 52K. The tranny is covered for 7 years or 100K so you have time if that's all that bugging.

That's the main thing bugging me about it, the other is that I'm dropping about $700 a month on the car. That's gas, car payment and insurance. I'm bleeding pretty bad for this car and getting into a legend would eliminate my car payment and lower my insurance.

The big if is maintenance on an older, 10 year old car? I gotta make sure I get something stylish but is afforadble, which I think the 95 Legend's are.

I'm in the same boat. It's not really payment related, mine's paid for. But I am on tranny 3 at 75K miles. Things on this car a very expensive to replace and now that I'm out of warranty, I'm getting ready to sell the car. There are too many downs and not enough ups for this car.

Under warranty:
2 trannys
1 torque converter
2 rear view mirrors
2 seat warmers for upper driver's seat
navigation system
driver's seat cover

My friends all bust on me for having the car in the shop all the time. It's value has dropped like a prom dress.

Maintenance on a ten year old car? I think you already know the answer to that question!

Wait until December and check out the 2006 Civic Si - looks sweet!!

Good luck selling yours. I've had mine for sale for a month and yet each morning I get up and find that I end up taking it to work because it hasn't sold and I have it priced pretty low (it's got a bunch of miles though). I love the car and mines been quite reliable, but I'm going to a 4 door as my DD (an '04 CTS-V).

It is wasn't for the 6 speed I wouldn't own this car. I've had cars with tranny problems before & was stranded 3 times way, way, way far from home.

If you're wanting a Legend with a stick, I can see it. But to go from an automatic CL with problems to an older Legend with an automatic???

I had 2 Legend Coupes and loved them but I sold my 95 Coupe to get a new Acura with a shifter, but I can't blame you, the Legends were great, but maintenance costs, (if and when needed) will be high, you can't win.

Get a Legend 6speed, and make sure it's had the coolant things dealt with.
