I was at the California Speedway test driving the New Q45 (and it's competitors: LS430, E430, 540i, and XJ-8). Got to drive all these cars on a handling course for comparsion. The New Q handles quite well for a car of its size, and its acceleration is sweet! 340hp, 333 lb-ft of torque!

I also got to ride in a Q doing hot laps on the oval track. Will post some mpegs once I figure out where I can put them up...

I ain't no automobile journalist, but I'll try...

NewQ: Awsome acceleration. Cool gadgets. Handles OK. Smallish back seat. Good deal overall (starts at 50k, 59K fully loaded).

LS430: SUPER QUIET and comfortable. Handles like a boat. Typical old man's car.

540i: Hated it. Dated interior, cramped backseat. Lose the steptronic and get a 6-speed, and give me sports package!!

E430: don't know what to say about it, but, well, it's nice. I'll take this instead of the 540i.
