Seats; painful
My 01 Cl has the most uncomfortable seats of any car I have ever owned. I am 5'9" and weigh 155 lbs. The seat back bolsters are way to tight and come up to high. It feels like my torso is being squeezed all the time. The bottom cusion is very short and supplies very little thigh support. It feels like all my weight is on my but bones which sink into a spot that is to small and soft. Also it is to lumpy and soft with its space cadet looking geometric stapes. The seats in the accord coupe are a lot better. The BMW 3 series sport seats and the volvo seat are way better still. Also the back of the passengers seat is not heated and it should be.
Sitting in a 325i with sport seats or a volvo S60 is much more comfy. The beemer is more $ and the vovlo's engine cannot match the acura's but the seats sure are way more comfy. The cusions are firmer and roomier and not lumpy or overly tight. They also support my entire butt and thigh almost all the way out to the back of my knee....so much better. Next car purchase I will give up some scoot for comfort and go for 325 or S60

wow thats really weird because everybody that has been in my car loves the seats! I hate the seats on the 3 series beemers. They are way too small and way too stiff. Would never able to seat in them for a long period of time

Re: Seats; painful
I have a 02' and I personally believe that the seats are the most comfortable I have ever sat in, and the most supportive. They must be made by Recaro is all I can figure out. I am 6'0, 195 lb.

My Large frame is also uncomfortable in the CL-S seats. They are fine for short trips, & short road trips, but try to sit in them for 18+ hours like I did Christmas, & they become very painfull. Maybe just me though. Each person is different. I do wish the steering wheel telascoped though. I'm sure that would help me.

have you guys tried adjusting the lumbar support from time to time?
its the lever on the side of the seat that varies the stiffness
of the back support
sometimes i get bored with a particular setting...

The human body just wasn't designed to sit for 18 hours. Try varying the seat positions on a long drive. The longest I've done in my car was 6 hours. It was drive 3 hours, eat dinner sitting down, drive three hours. No problem.

Seats
When I first sat in the CL at the auto show I was sold on the seats and wanted to fall asleep in them but when I got mine I couldn't find the same setting. I'm still playing around with it. I think that the CL just needs higher lumbar support or a telescoping wheel. I can't recline the seat far enough and still grab hold of the wheel... Eveyone's back is different.

a month ago, i made my trip up to Boston...5 hour trip...lumbar support at the max setting...absolutely no problem doing the straight shot except my body was stiff from being in 1 position so long, so i consider that a good thing b/c no matter what twists and turns i encountered, my body stayed perfectly still.

I'm 6'0" and 195 and I think the seats are great. I especially like the side-bolstering in turns.
The only complaint I have gotten is from my wife. She is 5'5" and she says the side-bolstering comes up too high and interferes with the movement of her shoulder blades, which causes muscle fatigue in her arms.
I have no idea what she is talking about, but she is a physical therapist and biomechanics specialist, so whatever she says I guess.
Everyone else seems to comment that they are comfortable.
I get uncomfortable if I am sitting in them for more than two hours, but somehow I can't seem to blame that on the seat. It's not like the CL is some big-rig long-haul job.

I really enjoy the seats. I like the way they give good support on the sides, and tuck you in. That was the biggest impression I had when I first test drove it.
As for your ass.....try tilting it forward, so not all of your weight is back on your ass and lower back. The seats are very manageable and should be able to support you in any fasion you'd like. Lumbar supprt adjustment might help too.

I like the seats a lot. The side bolsters tookm a little getting used to. My only complant about the seats is that they need to be alittle lower. Either reduce the mount, or tub the floorpan little more.
