Sealer in Ballast?

I thought I had heard someone saying that they put some kind of sealer around their new ballast before they put it in so moisture wouldn't get in. I tried to search for it, but couldn't find where it was said. Does anyone know about this? I got a new one and am going to be replacing my blown one, but wondering if there's anything like that I should do to try to keep moisture out of it, or if I should just put it in. I'm pretty sure my old one blew from getting water in it because my car was fine and sat in the garage for a few days, and then I washed it and the next time I drove it after that my light was out...

Any suggestions appreciated, Thanks

P.S. I know it's supposed to be a pretty self explanitory and easy job, but I think I'm gonna take some pics and post a DIY if anyone is interested. (And assuming it all goes to plan )

Also, does anyone know a store that carries HID bulbs, I know I can order them online, but was wondering what kind of place would have them.... I tried calling like Autozone, but they thought I was talking about cool blue halogens or some shit...

Well, I was hoping to be able to fix this today, but I can't find anyone that carries HID bulbs for the life of me!! I need to open a damn store up and make some money! Anyways, I guess I'll just have to order some online and wait till next weekend...

I'm looking for a new ballast(inverter) as my headlight works on and off, where did you get yours? I'd be happy with a used one as long as it works, I just don't want to pay the $300 at the dealer!

If you're looking for sealer remedies...go to the black market under "Clearing headlights." The guy specificaly tells all about when kind of sealer he uses.
