hello all,
i got my windows tinted last week and yesterday i noticed few very thin long vertical scratchs on my tinted window...
i rolled down my window yesterday for the first time since the tint was put on... could that be the cause of the scratch? or did the shop just messed up?
Also while putting on my acura-cl.com sticker, i noticed some dirty water streaks behind the 3rd break light...seems like the tint guy was too lazy to cover that area up and let dirty water ran down there when cleaning the back window... any way to clean that mess up?

I'm wondering the same too. I waited for the metallic tint to dry completely (4-6 weeks)
Lo and behold a 1 inch scratch mark shows up..wtf?

You should be able to ask them to replace it for free,just go back to tell them...

buy the way,it takes 2-5 days to dry usually

its probably not dirty water but adveshive or something. After I had my done there was that "dirty water" all over the seats and window sills. Is everbody back window a seamless tint job. Sometimes you can see the seam on mine and it is annoying.

I have the seam too and it is very annoying. Luckily you cant see it from the outside. I wanted the one piece back but all the places i talked to said they couldnt do that but would just seam it along the defroster line, which they did.

I know a very good tint shop which tinted my other cars and my friends car with Llumar tint ... and no problems or any scratches.
They'll my car for $270 all over

270?? Wow, where I got it done its 140 and the back window is done in one piece. Its a reputable place because that's where a bunch of the NY Yankees brought theirs.

the guy said it costs more because he has to take the whole back panel out in order to put the tint where the third break light is instead of cutting it around the light (cutting around the light looks pretty ugly, IMHO)
And the price is for all windows including the front ones too

Oh ok..but how much extra can it be to take out the back panel? i think here in NY you cant have anything obstruct the brake light though..
