They are making one for the CL-S, but it won't be ready for at least another 6 months!

Well, I went yesterday. The guy told me that it was very possible for him to throw a Votrec in. There is enough space in the engine bay, and he would relocate the ABS and a few other small things. He is going to get back to me on monday to let me know what kind of a price I am looking at. He can't give me an "accurate" price for installation though (as for he would actually have to do it to see how long it will take). He promised an easy 100 hp or more. If it's too much money, I will wait for the Comptech to come out

i just talked to a honda tech. he said the tranny should be able to handle a SC alot better then n20 because the power is constant and not a sudden shock. He said it should be fine and able to take an extra 100-150 hp. But we'll have to find out

The vortec does definitely fit. There are some relocations necessary but not the abs. The hp and torque on a vortec supercharger is more linear as opposed to nos, which is less of an instantaneous shock to the tranny. The boost builds as rpm increases.

Wow.. 'an easy 100hp'.. does that mean 150hp is possible too?.. man can you imagine if our cars had 410hp?!?!?! And is this increase with or without headers?

This is without. He said that the headers will definately be great with the SC.

Time for that Level10 torque converter.

My only question is what is the guarantee with the Vortech SC? If you're having someone just bolt on an aftermarket SC that was not specifically designed for our cars, I'd be a little worried.

See if you can get that Honda tech's comments in writing. Will be useful when you call Acura service to come and pick up the pieces of your blown engine/tranny.
