SC Owners - Fuel PSI Gauge Reading Question

Hey Fellas,

Wanted to ask you guyz when you are in the 5700 rpms range while boosting where ist he PSI level on your fuel gauge? For the last two weeks, in 2nd gear from 5700 rpm to 6900 the gauge reads 96 psi, in 3rd its 90 psi.... When 2nd shifts to 3rd I get 100 psi then it slower lowers itself to 90 psi when it hits 5700 rpm in 3rd... When I shift into 4th I get 100 psi. When the gauges were installed it was always in at 100 psi regardless which ever gear it was in and what ever the rpms were??

I have not heard any pinging, and have checked the connections to make sure everything is okay. Just wanna be sure that I am not boosting lean....

Thanks again

have you thought about installing an Air Fuel ratio gauge?

that will be able to tell you if you are going too rich or lean.

The cause of concern here is the Fuel Pressuer Regulator since they have been known to fail.. That was the only concern, since the drop in PSI... Wanted to ask since others have the same gauges... Faulty Gauge or FPR?

^ the pressure is suppose to drop once it hits 100psi. comptech FPR has a bypass built into it.

I have not seen or heard of a FPR failing yet.

I had a fuel pump problem and replaced the pump, that solved all my fuel issues.

Thanks smitty for your help.. the only concern I had was like I stated b4, boosting over a month and the gauge would always read 100 psi... but lately it has been dropping back.. Just wanted to be sure thats all...

I was wrong in stating the FPR, I meant the fuel pump my mistake in the mistype
