I'm going down to Redondo Beach and I'm on Artesia Bld. going on Prairie St. and right in front of me a silver 2003 CL-S. I'm thinking probably some guy cleared out his lights to look like the 2003 and so I pass it and to look at the front lights and WTF, there it is the new blacked out front with the fogless bumper!!! So what's up? Is the 2003 cl out now or what? I'm 100% sure this was a 2003 CL-S. There were two guys in it driving slow and careful, I almost wanted to honk and tell them "do you know your in a CL with 260hp". By the way it looked really good from the back and front, but the rims gotta go. The rims look cheap and small kinda like accord rims. The back lights really stand out more in white, kinda grabs your attention (makes you think what kinda car is that). In my rear view the car looked alittle like a wanna be skyline with those lights(IMO) and the front looks less pointy with the new grill, really aggressive looking compared to our model. And it had that funny little antena on top too, what is that? All and all I got to say the changes really stand out especially the front, its much better looking now in a sporty way.

 

If I understand right, isn't that the On-Star system, like the RL? If you get in an accident, the system notifies the cops or someone, they can talk to you (?) to see if you are alright, have your location by GPS and send you help. But, I may have my story wrong. I wish the antenna wasn't there... looks kinda VW cheesey.
Redondo Beach... mmm.... I miss that strip.

 

When I lived in LA (worked at the Radisson in Manhattan Beach), I always used to see the latest cars out.

In WA, it is all average cars. I do not even see CL-S or TL-S. Most of them are the regular CL and TL.

 

SimTypeS - I agree totally, that antena makes the CL look cheap but the benefits might be worth it then.

Eggplant - So true, when I'm down here in Redondo Beach or Torrance many times I seen new model cars. I once saw three Lexus IS300s following each other almost 6 months before they even where being sold in the US. And I seen a new black BMW 7 series also today, that thing looked really good from the front.

 

yea, its highly possible, youre in the area of Redondo and Torrance... Honda Coporate is there as well as Toyota

 

 

driving it carefully eh?? well, that explains it... the car's obviously not theirs.

 

My guess is it would be a loaner car for a magazine or TV show type review.
Something like Autoweek or Car & Driver probably has it for a future review.

HEY Cee el es what rims do you have now? are they the factory ones or new ones??

 

The grill is just painted body color. It is the same shape and size.

 

I thought the same thing when I saw a new A4 this morning. They have the white-over-red thing too. Eye-catching for some reason.
