Hey there! I am the only owner of a 2003 CL Type S. Very nice to see this one continuing to live on! 18 years old and about 130k miles and mine still runs and drives great!
^Hey Acura2g558, can you post a few detailed pictures of the new JSwapShop CL-S6 torque dampers when you get them?
Thanks!
I purchased these, but there were just too many differences to make me believe they would work. Travel was way off, the bottom bushing didn't seem correct at all.

Interesting.
Can you post a few pics scaled next to something?
From the pictures on his FB page I was able to determine they were 'golf cart' related, so?

Acura2g558, can you make that 'engine damper' video public so that we can observe your findings?

Nice! Many parts are still available from Acura. I highly recommend enthusiast snatch them up before they are all gone and get used for cars that will end up in the crusher. I got the last left muffler
Your brake caliper video was recommended to me on YouTube back when it was first posted, and I was curious as to why you decided to go with legend calipers and not the RL calipers?
Was going to ask it on YouTube originally, then I saw you were posting on here, lol.

The RL calipers are an excellent option. I was looking for a more period correct replacement and the RL calipers just wouldn't give that look and I don't require the performance upgrade for the job the car is doing.

Hey Acura2g558, I just watched your 'crank no start' video and suspected it was the main relay assembly. Having had gone through this very same situation twice now down here in the heat of FL already. You are brave reflowing the solder versus purchasing new.
Regarding the crank sensors for the CL-S6, should you have the 'discontinued' transmission side one go on you (37506-PGE-A12) you can substitute it with an OEM from many Honda models part # 37500-PNB-003 or from an Acura 02-06 RSX with the same number before having to resort to aftermarket, if there is even one available.

Thanks Zeta, gold level knowledge as always! Do you know if there is a replacement for the discontinued cranks sensor for the one on the bottom of the timing belt?
I'm a bit brave for sure with the resolder, but oddly it hasn't reoccurred since that repair *knock on wood*

thanks for watching the video ✌️
When I search on 37500-PGE-A11 for that pulley side OEM crank sensor, it still comes up available on the Acura vendor sites?
However, RockAuto has some pricey aftermarket equivalents WVE$229.79; NTK$314.79 versus the OEM $92.41.
The pulley side crank sensor sub-harness, though, is 'discontinued' so we all have to be careful not to shred a timing belt and destroy what we have.

Good sleuthing, thanks. I hope they are still available.
With everything going on in the world a lot of the parts I've tried to word through online OEM parts have ended up being cancelled with the reason "backordered."
Acura2g558, don't know if you noticed; however, you can observe the PS fluid level in the reservoir fall sharply, just after start-up, at about the 08:11 time stamp on your 26Feb2022 video.

This was the first start post the P/S pump rebuild video that I did. I expected a sharp drop initially, but little did I know the pump case cracked.
So if the P/S case crack was in the general thread area of the 'red' arrow, would it be the result of, perhaps, over torquing the flow control valve cap when replacing the o-ring 'gasket' on your rebuild video??
Factory spec: 36lbf-ft seems like a lot for an aluminum case, though?
^
In addition, since the OEM and Rockauto one's are a little pricey, you may be able to just get away with replacing the p/s case?
Car-part.com has a couple $45 pumps available in Colchester, VT.

Well, you nailed it. I'm going to be releasing a follow-up video. I didn't have the proper tool at the time to torque down the flow control valve cap so I followed the German approach of "Goo-d and tiight" but the result was catastrophic failure. I like your recommendation of "car-part.com" but I found a LKQ 54k mile P/S pump near me and had it shipped for free. Needless to say, now i have the gaskets to rebuild it when it fails, but for now i should be good. Lessons learned.... funny thing is, I almost always use a torque wrench (if you follow my videos you can see that) and this is one of the very few times i didn't and oh did i pay.
Hey @Acura2g558 , just curious, where / when did you hear the claim you made, on your video below, that Acura / Honda were switching over to Mahle for almost all of their OEM sourced parts?
