Is it safe to drive the CL without a rubber vibra mount?
I have a 2001 Acura CLS. I have an INJEN Cyborg CAI system installed.
The other day, the rubber vibra mount that holds the CAI to the car body firmly in place got broken and now I took it off, waiting for the replacement. If it comes tomorrow, i'll be fine, but if it doesn't, I was wondering if it was safe to drive the CL without a VIBRA MOUNT?
It seems like nothing is holding the CAI on there except the mount and the attachments to the Throttle Body. Would it be advisible to drive it around long distance? I'm afraid it might like snap off or damage the engine in any way.
Anyone have experience with this happening? Thanks.

I've exausted every single auto/body shop in the bay area. No one carries this single part. Which is a pain in the ass.
And INJEN _ who i'm so pissed off with because of their unprofessionalism, might or might not deliver the part on time.
They don't give tracking number.
They don't give customer service number.
They don't respond to support e-mails.
They don't tell you when it's being shipped.
They don't tell you what kind of service they're even using for sure.
What kind of a fucking business is that?

Your really making this into a big deal when it's not needed. If your that concerned, as suggested use some zip ties from Home depot or lowes, or even better wrap a small bungy cord to it.
As I said your intake isn't going anywhere, it's not going to break anything, & none of it is going to get sucked into the engine & cause OMG failure.

When mine tore, I just wrapped the thing in duct tape.
Maybe I should have atleast used black electical tape.
I think it's crucial to get this fixed because the intake can or will rattle against the metal of the hole and could break. Well, at least that's my fear.

my aem tab wasn't even in the right location. i wrapped the pipe with a piece of black foam where it passes through the intake hole in the fender. it's been like that for almost 102k miles now.
