S55 AMG Pricing

Did all the options I wanted for the S55AMG well I guess that $100,000 bill someone gave us to spend yesterday wouldn't even come close,

You can make that car so pimp some of the options are so sweet, like how many feet you are away from something, anyhow it came to

$118,500 for that car with all the options I picked which was mainly all of them. Damn someone lend me some money I want this car. It is PIMP Fo Sho.

What I have read and heard the C32AMG is like mid 5's to 60 and low-mid 13s in the quarter

The SLK32AMG I have read from upper 4s to low 5s to 60 and 13 flat in the quarter.

Gets to 125mph in 18 seconds hahahah that's FAWKING SICK.

Mercedes claims a 0-60 in under 5 for the C32 AMG. Despite being 300lb heavier than the SLK32, the C32 is turning identical or faster times. There's a couple S55s around where I live and I'm not too impressed. They look almost identical to a stock S500 except for the oval exhaust tips and the cross drilled front rotors. Haven't driven one before so I can't comment on that. It just seems to me you can buy a stock S500 and get it tuned by Brabus or Lorniser for a lot less than what a S55 AMG goes for. The only thing the S55 really has is exclusivity.

Yeah i'll take a S500 or S600 or any of those, big comfortable ride that has speed to it also.

AS for the SLK32 AMG and the C32AMG can those cars reach 4.8-5.2 to 60 and 13.0 in the 1/4? That is what I have been reading so just curious.

My oldman has a 00 S500, its nice...I'm a little disappointed in the quality for the money, I would not spend the premium dollars on an AMG model S or CL class model, the 500 series cars are fast enough for these land yachts (S500 does 0-60 in 6.1 sec, for $20k more you go 0-60 in 5.7 with an S55)- thanks but no thanks.

And lets be honest, if your getting a car like this.....a good amount of it has to do with impressing others, and 99% of the population doesn't know what the fuck they are looking at. So, I think anything above an S500 is a waste.

I would like a CL500 Sport, looks the same as this CL55.....but I'm not ready to have one automatic car and nothing else.

MY dad has the 00-01 S500 and is not pleased with it at all. He has had it for 8 months and put about 7,500 miles on it, Now that winter is rolling around that car is gone, he can't stand it, Shit I want that. It's nice down here

That CL500/600/55 are so awesome man ultimate luxury, no not worth it for the S55 over the S500

But big differnce in SLK320 and SLK32AMG
same goes for C320 and C32AMG

Exactly, for the small performance models (SLK32, C32, CLK55) AMG models are fun......I would even go for an E55 since its like $70-$72k, not $105k.

But for a big ass pimp machines....its just plain not worth it, but if your first name starts with Puff and ends in Daddy, who gives a shit.

What I don't understand is why someone would buy the E55 over the new C32. The C32 is faster, has a newer platform and is much cheaper. Only downside is that its smaller and has a smaller performence potential. Then again how many people are doing forced induction for the E55? If I had the money I would get the C32 and do minor mods and keep the rest.

Your right, I would too....but the thing that has always plagued the C class AMG cars (C36, C43, C32), its a C class, nobody wants to spend $55k on the base model Benz (when they could step up to a bigger E430-current model)........plus they look like regular Cclass models essentially. You and I know what they are, but most people who buy these cars don't.

Don't forget, the current Eclass and outgoing SLclass.....are the last of the old school top quality Benz models, go to a dealer and compare a new E vs. a new S (its interesting).

That is a SPOT on comment....Benz's have really changed for the worse in the last model incarnations...
I hope they dont stay that way....
the old school feel of them if a lot of their allure, for me anyways...

all S500's have cross drilled rotors plus for the extra cash, you get the 5.5 amg engine, 18 inch "y" rated tires, and some other extras. i have all the spects on the mercedes lineup, if you want to see a nice s500 check out the designo models, i prefer the mocha one. and yes they do drive like a dream.
don't forget about the drop tops (we have a CLK55 Conv in stock right now)
we have to drop a phone with voice activation in a c32 tomorow morning i saw the sticker on it was 55,000 - ahhhh the world of benz

Isn't the next E-AMG supposed to have a 5.0L 32 valve V8 thats supercharged to 450hp? And to compete with that isn't it rumored that the 2004 5 Series has a engine bay that could accomodate a version of the Williams-BMW Formula 1 V-10 that should also make around 450hp (NA though)?

The CL500, 600, 55 is due to get replaced. I like the looks of the new G500. That thing rides nice as hell. Bad as hell on Gas Though.

Nice to have friends that work for the MBUSA Press Fleet. They get the new cars, and pre-production cars into the shop.

hmmm...

I could never see myself driving an e55.......or the c32 for that matter. I'd rather be in the m5 and m3 respectivly for the smaller cars and the S class for the big full size.

Although the 740i sport looks pretty cool too.

Quick question. How many S55 AMGs are alloted to the US? I just saw a brand new black one roll around my neighborhood. that brings the count to like 6 or 7.

I thought all AMGs were handbuilt (engines at least) . If thats true than there has to be less than 5000 built...

Its a limited production car, no more than 4k-5k per year......even 5k sounds like too many- don't know the exact figures though.
