s2000 knob on CLS
Bought the OEM S2000 knob, and its never really been that tight. When i hand tighten it as far as it will go, I'm looking at the shift pattern vertically with 1st gear at the bottom....
basically it needs like 1/4-1/3 turn to be perfect, but since I can't tighten it anymore, I turn it the other way so it stays loose but at least the shift pattern is horizontal....
anyone else have this problem? and how did you go about fixing it?
thx

get the same size nut.... screw the nut on first... then the shift knob to where you want it... then loosen the nut towards the shift knob... that will fix it.
if it still moves... take it all apart and use some loc-tite.

Where is my super sauce?
You can stick a washer or other spacer on top of the shifter post to adjust. Once you find the right spot you can use some blue (weak) thread lock glue to hold it in place. I'd problaby use only a small drop of the stuff so you can break the grip later on if you need too.

Pic? Can't remember, Is this knob like the TSX? I have the TSX knob that has the red shift pattern on it. just need a screw washer on there first to screw against...so to speak.
ps- I fixed the boot already.
